Avast Browser Cleanup is a Windows-exclusive program that helps to remove unwanted toolbars from internet explorer, Google Chrome, and Firefox browsers.

With intuitive settings, the app allows users to restore their search engine to default settings or other pre-configured preferences. Avast Browser Cleanup was first introduced as a sub-component of the Avast Free Antivirus application, yet has functioned as a stand-alone product since 2015.

Users can remove unwanted browser extensions and toolbars in a single click through the application's simple interface. Toolbars can either be removed or temporarily disabled.

In addition to targeting toolbars, Avast Browser Cleanup is useful for mitigating data tracking from malicious browser extensions. Some extensions may covertly analyze your preferences and usage patterns, resulting in embedded browser ads and homepage changes to the browser.
